KolNote is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and store your personal data when you use our mobile application.

• Authentication data: your email address and password (hashed).
• Profile data: your chosen display name.
• Audio recordings: voice notes for “Attendance” and “Other Notes.”
• Metadata: timestamps and user IDs linked to each recording.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Authenticate and manage your account;
• Store and retrieve your voice recordings;
• Generate transcriptions and structured notes;
• Provide you with the ability to delete your account and data on demand.

4. Where and How We Store Your Data

We store your recordings and metadata in Supabase Storage and our SQL database. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS, and at rest according to Supabase’s encryption standards.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services:

• Supabase: for authentication, storage, and database.
• FastAPI Backend: for API endpoints.

6. Your Rights

You can at any time:

• View, update, or delete your profile data;
• When your account is deleted, your name and email are removed, and all associated data is anonymized so it can no longer be linked to you.
• Download or delete your recordings;
• Request a copy of your data;
• Withdraw consent by deleting your account.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our app is not directed at children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us to have it deleted.

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post any changes here with an updated “Effective date.”
